My little mountain lion had so much fun being back in Colorado. We stayed at a cabin rental in Estes Park, which made meal time fairly seamless. On our drive up to Estes Park from Denver, we stopped at the Whole Foods in Boulder to stock up with grocery store food for our 3-day stay, trying to not over or under buy! I'm sharing my simple grocery list for toddler essentials and tips on checking stock with the rental property ahead of time and what to pack with you!
Grocery List for Toddler:
1.Frozen Peas
2.Frozen Chicken Fingers
3.Frozen Waffles
4.Carrots
5.Hummus
6.Avocado
7.Bananas
8.Eggs
9.Whole Milk
10.Olive Oil
11.Water
TIPS:
Your rental property will most likely come with cooking essentials like pots, pans, and baking sheets. Ask the property manager ahead of time what kitchen items will be available so you can plan accordingly.
Remember to pick up olive oil, butter, or cooking spray if you plan on making eggs or cooking anything in a pan on the stovetop. Most rentals don’t come equipped with any of those items and it’s easy to forget to pick it up on your grocery run!
You might also want to pick up a few gallons of water, depending on your length of stay. You can also ask the property manager what water they use ahead of time.
Easy preparation: We picked up a mix of easy-to-cook protein, vegetables, and fruits.
Clean up: Also ask the property manager if there will be dish soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. Usually rental properties are stocked with these items; including at least a single roll of paper towels and single rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom.
To Bring With You: Remember to pack any toddler-specific feeding items you might need; like sippy cups, suction plates, utensils, bibs, and a booster seat. We were able to get away with only packing sippy cups and feeding our little one standing at the coffee table (with minimally messy food!).
