Lionetta LOVES to color. She first got into coloring around 13 months and since then has gone from placing tiny dots onto her sketch paper to now coloring lines from side to side. I've read that around 18 months she'll start making circles. It's so fun to see her choose crayon colors and let her imagination run wild on the paper. She also loves to put the crayons back in their box. And sometimes she also loves to test boundaries and pretend to eat the crayons to gauge my reaction haha!
We use Honeysticks crayons and Melissa and Doug Sketch Pads for Lionetta's coloring supplies. We found the Honeysticks crayons at our local Whole Foods, but I also found them on Amazon and linked it below.
Here is what the brand says about their crayons: "Honeysticks Crayons are handmade in New Zealand with 100% pure New Zealand beeswax, so they are safer for children of all ages. This sustainable process causes minimal impact on the environment and gives the crayons a wonderful honey scent. Our unique chubby crayons are easy for small hands to hold, but much harder to break! Let your little ones express their inner artist with a stunning range of twelve eye catching, non-toxic crayon colours."
Happy coloring!
