The Lion's Mama at Home #OOTD: Red Top + Jeans

I spend a lot of time at home taking care of my daughter, Lio, and working on The Lion's Mama blog. In the past, I would wake up and immediately throw on the most comfortable sweats I could grab before rushing to get Lio out from her crib. I found that living in sweats constantly was a real drag on how I felt internally. Now when I dress for the day I have a rule of starting the day minimally in jeans or something other than sweats. (In all honesty, I am still able to convince myself some mornings that I will be working out first thing and thus will first put on a workout outfit, never to workout that day - but this was my old pattern that I've broken pretty decently!) My rule of minimally wearing jeans to start my day has really helped how I feel and my mood throughout the day. It also has helped me actually get to the gym, because when I switch into my workout clothes it signals my body that it is now time to workout. And I keep it easy for myself by throwing on a robe to get Lio out of bed, if I don't have time to pick out my jeans outfit right away. (I'm sure some of you reading this are "lol-ing" right now thinking, "Ok, I'll just wear my robe all day then!", haha. If I could offer my advice from experience of working from home for some time, the jeans minimum rule really works!) :)

So that is the backstory on my "jeans minimum rule". Today I am sharing an easy at home style, with options for going out. A simple red top and light wash high waisted jeans is perfect for hanging at home or for a day out!
