With our summer schedules booking up and life becoming increasingly busier, I thought I would share a piece of how we keep some structure through Lio's daily schedule. Marcello and I have found that Lio does best when she has some structure and when we follow a schedule. It probably has to do with her internal clock, but knowing what to expect vs. uncertainty, seems to help keep Lio at ease. (However, on the flip side, I don't want her to become too dependent on her schedule. So I try to create some flexibility on the weekends and when we travel.)
I had typed up a schedule for Lio at some point when she was a baby. And since then I have been updating it as it slightly changes. I definitely recommend doing this for yourself and your little one. I keep Lio's updated schedule on our refrigerator so it is available for Marcello, a babysitter, or when grandma comes to visit. I also keep important information on the refrigerator's schedule, like emergency numbers and the wifi login credentials.
So here is Lio's schedule that we follow during the week, Monday through Friday!:

Prepare LUNCH to take to preschool: (i.e., protein + vegetable + fruit*)

12:15PM: Arrive home from preschool. Let Lio unwind a bit while I prepare a snack before putting her down for nap.

After her snack, I hope for her to have a dirty diaper. She seems to sleep best if this happens before I put her down for a nap.

5PM: DINNER (i.e., protein + vegetable + fruit*) + whole milk
5:30PM-6:30PM: Playtime

7PM-7AM: Sleep
*For Lio’s meals, I always try to provide her with a healthy variety of protein and fresh produce. I also offer her carbs in the form of breads, pasta, rice, etc. And we love to share treats like chocolate and ice cream in the afternoons. When it comes to food for my toddler and myself, I am all about balance!
*I also aim to provide Lio with lots of healthy fats for her brain development. i.e., Wild caught salmon and avocado.
