Struttin' like my daddy. Watching Marcello become a father has been one of the most special experiences of my life. For years we talked about what life would be like with a little one. Often times when we would be having fun together as a couple, we'd day dream about our child experiencing things for the first time. We talked about taking our future child out on hikes, watching him or her dip their toes into creek water, and teaching them how to snowboard. And now it's been incredible to observe Marcello doing these things with Lio. He wants to be there to be the tickle monster and also be there to make Lio feel safe and wipe away her tears. This father's day, show the men and fathers in your life some love with a thoughtful Father's Day gift!

Father's Day Gift Guide:
Technology...

This is the gift I purchased for Marcello this Father's Day. I love that the Echo Show 5 is multifunctional: you can start your day checking the weather and checking on the baby's nursery camera; and you can check the news, connect with loved ones, use it as your sous chef in the kitchen (it may not help you with the physical demands of meal prep, but it will certainly help you follow a recipe!), listen to podcasts and audiobooks, etc. We have the Amazon Echo in our kitchen currently, and I am so excited that Amazon came out with a smaller (and a little less expensive) version of the Echo Show with visual screen display. The Echo Show 5 is set to be released later this month on June 26, 2019.

For the Dad On-The-Go...

Keep dad healthy with a morning green smoothie so he has the energy and strength to take on his day and be present for his family.

Marcello has two Yeti ramblers that he alternates (clean/dirty) for his daily morning coffee.

Marcello and I recently purchased 48 oz water bottles; the XL size has been great because we have to refill less often. We keep them at our desks and take them with us when we are on the go.
Office...

Mental Health...

Marcello uses the Headspace App most mornings to start his day with guided meditation. I've noticed his lower levels of stress, overall calmer demeanor, and better presence since he started meditation.
A Good Night's Rest...

Daddy + Me...
Daddy + Me Matching T-Shirts: Pizza Pie + Slice, $19.95

This hardcover daddy and me book is really sweet for girl dads. I gifted it to Marcello last Father's Day and the story line of the father-daughter relationship really touched his heart.

This is a cute board book I gave to Marcello for his birthday last month. He loves to read it to Lio before bed. It has cute illustrations of the daddy bear and baby bear - which makes it unisex for your little one. The words and story are straight forward to make it easy for your little one to follow along.
Summer Gear...

Whether camping, taking a break whilst hiking, or enjoying backyard fun, a hammock is a great Father's Day gift for summer fun. This option above comes in 21 different color options.

I gifted Marcello a couple of these a few years ago and we used them often both with our Yeti Tundra cooler and Yeti Hopper bag (keeps things cold and less condensation than melting ice) and we use them in our lunch bags to keep our food chilled and fresh.
Physical Health...

I often walk on the treadmill while working on my phone. Personally, I love the idea of being able to walk while working from a desk. According to the treadmill's specs it only weighs 64 lbs and is only 5" thick, so it can be moved and stored with some ease.
Sign him up for personal training sessions or a local specialized gym (i.e., Orangetheory, boxing gym, etc.).

Something Sentimental...
Frame your kids' artwork.
Hire a local photographer for family photos. (To find a photographer: (1) Checkout thumbtack for a local online directory, (2) search on Instagram via hashtags, i.e., "#DenverPhotographer", or (3) place an ad on Craigslist.)

23andMe DNA Test is currently $50 off on Amazon for Father's Day. I purchased this for Marcello last Father's Day and he loved seeing where his DNA traced back to.
Acts of Kindness...
Clean the house, pickup fresh flowers, light a candle, play fun music, and cook breakfast.
Upload songs to his Spotify playlists, pick out interesting podcasts to listen to, have his car cleaned and detailed, think of things on his to-do list he keeps meaning to tackle but hasn't yet.
The Best Gift... Time!
Hire a babysitter, plan a trip, or just plan a fun day for Father's Day!
